Reacting to a distress call from a concerned citizen, Unchain Our Children’s senior social worker, Nicky McDonald and advanced medic Morgan Kruger from Shekinah 911 Emergency Medical Services, attended to a domestic crisis situation of a young adult suffering from mental health issues who presented with drug induced behaviour problems and failure to take prescription medication as directed.

Thanks to their quick response time, and efficient action, this young adult was stabilized and admitted to a local hospital for further observation and treatment.

“We deeply value the dedication of Shekinah 911 Emergency Medical Services and are most fortunate to partner with them assisting members of the communities we serve together”, said Wayne van Onselen, Founder and Executive Director of Unchain Our Children.

Such domestic incidents are highly upsetting for the immediate family, but they were grateful for the fast reaction time of the Unchain Our Children Team.

Shekinah 911 Emergency Medical Services partnered with Unchain Our Children to render a service to the most vulnerable in society.
