Pretoria, October 1, 2025 – Today, Wayne van Onselen, the indomitable Founder and Executive Director of Unchain Our Children (UOC), marked his 60th birthday surrounded by devoted associates and operatives at a heartfelt celebration. The event honored a man whose life’s work has been a beacon of hope for countless children.

For over a decade, Wayne has stood fearless in the fight against child prostitution, abuse, and human trafficking. Since founding UOC in 2013, his unwavering commitment to rescuing children from exploitation, neglect, and violence has transformed lives. Described as a warrior wielding both sword and shield, Wayne’s compassion and strength have given hope to those disillusioned by despair. His actions have turned tears into joy, ensuring children’s best interests are upheld.

Wayne’s leadership inspires action. Alongside his dedicated operatives, he tackles countless cases, confronting the darkest challenges with empathy and resolve. His faith, rooted in a divine calling, fuels his mission, lighting the path for victims with a fire of compassion. As a voice for the voiceless, Wayne has made caring a lifestyle, proving that rescuing and restoring lives is a daily commitment, not a fleeting act.

In a moving speech, Wayne humbly thanked his team, saying, “I’m just the face and voice of UOC; you are its core. Your efforts drive our success in safeguarding children.” The celebration concluded with the Aaronic Blessing (Numbers 6:24-26), a poignant moment reflecting his faith-driven mission.

Wayne’s zeal remains undimmed, and as he embarks on another year, we join in wishing him the abundant blessings he so generously shares. Here’s to a hero whose legacy continues to shine.
