“KidsCare had the honour of visiting Geseende Hande, the Unchain Our Children Crisis Centre in Danville to hand over a donation aimed at supporting children in crisis and the elderly in their care. This heartfelt contribution was made possible through the generosity of our community and supporters”. Chanel Long, Founder, KidsCare.

All the items will be distributed by Geseende Hande to children and elderly individuals in their community who are in desperate need of warmth, care, and support. KidsCare delivered a total of 36 fully packed KidsCare Bags, each one lovingly assembled and including a warm blanket, a beanie, and a scarf. These bags are designed to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to children rescued from traumatic situations.

In addition to the KidsCare Bags, the KidsCare Team was also able to donate the following essential items: 109 Blankets, 130 Assorted Beanies, 96 Pairs of Gloves, 31 Scarves, 22 Hand-knitted Jerseys for Children and Babies, 128 Baby Vests, 45 Baby Bibs, 9 Pairs of Baby Booties, 6 Pairs of Baby Socks, 4 Baby Bottles, 24 Matinee Jackets, 6 Facecloths.

With an alarming rise in child abuse, neglect and exploitation, the KidsCare ethos maintains that no child or caregiver should feel forgotten. Through their Build-a-Bag project, they provide practical items that restore dignity and comfort during times of crisis. A special message of hope is included in each bag to personalize the gift.

“We are deeply grateful to each donor and partner who makes this work possible. We extend our sincere thanks to Unchain Our Children for the life-saving work they do every day. It is our privilege to support such a vital organization.” Chanel Long, KidsCare
