A beaming Zoalise Jansen, an 18-year old from Pretoria and runner-up in 2023, was crowned the new Miss World, South Africa 2024 on Saturday 5 October during a glam event at Sun City Super Bowl.  She will represent South Africa at the 72nd Miss World pageant next year in February where she will be competing for the global title.

“Zoalise is an avid supporter of Unchain Our Children, and we deeply value her acknowledgement of our work and dedication to the cause.  We are celebrating her successes and looking forward to future collaboration with her”, said Wayne van Onselen, Founder and Executive Director of Unchain Our Children.

Zoalise expressed her dedication to Unchain Our Children which was selected by her as one of the charities she’ll be focussing on:

“One of our new partners is a non-profit called Unchain Our Children which is focussing on combatting injustice in various cases, such as gender-based violence, rape, domestic abuse, welfare injustice and counter-human trafficking.”

Not only is Zoalise advocating for women’s empowerment but she was also applauded for her Beauty with a Purpose project, Never Too Young to Advocate (NTYTA) which is a digital platform focussing on creating global awareness and a presence  for the youth.
