Long-distance athletes—runners, walkers, and cyclists—embody traits like stamina, strength, speed, suppleness, and skill, honed through consistent training, nutrition, rest, and unyielding purpose. These qualities enable them to conquer grueling miles, maintaining hope and faith that the finish line awaits, no matter the pain or fatigue.

Survivors and victims of human trafficking mirror this resilience in profound ways. Enduring unimaginable trauma, exploitation, and suffering, they summon inner strength and endurance to survive captivity's darkness. Like athletes pushing through exhaustion, they cling to hope and faith in an eventual end—a "finish line" of freedom and recovery. Both groups demonstrate tenacity: athletes battling physical limits, survivors overcoming psychological and emotional horrors. This parallel underscores that true endurance transcends the body; it's a testament to the human spirit's unbreakable will.

For participants in Notties100 2025, the event transcends a mere race—it's a tribute to this shared fortitude. As athletes eye the finish line, their efforts symbolize victims' journeys from captivity to healing, raising awareness and funds to combat human trafficking, especially of children.
