At a child protection event, celebrating May as child protection month, Unchain Our Children had joined RATA Social Services and several other top tier organizations Friday morning, 23 May 2025 at Malusi Youth Development Organization (MYDO) Community Hub-Gomorrah for a jam-packed program touching on important aspects of child protection.
Raising awareness for Child Protection month, RATA was selected by the office of the MEC to do a child protection event.

RATA is a partner organization of Unchain Our Children, and it was a great opportunity to take hands and stand together in the quest for the liberation of abused, neglected, trafficked and sexually exploited children. There is strength in numbers and honouring the working relationship with RATA, UOC’s presence was a statement of solidarity.
Unchain Our Children maintains an ethos of teamwork and was happy to join the event. The event theme was, “Working together against any violence against children”.

After the Guests were welcomed, Zabe Masina from RATA Social Services, announced the purpose of the day. There was entertainment by Malusi Daycare with their lovely song and rhyme performance and later a drama beautifully performed by MYDO performing arts. A full program followed with talks on substance abuse and community health. Sgt.
