On Saturday, 7 March 2026, a heartwarming family high tea event was held in Pretoria to support Mon Ami Trauma Troopers, a dedicated non-profit organisation providing essential trauma response, emotional support, feeding initiatives, and victim empowerment across Pretoria and greater Gauteng.

Mon Ami Trauma Troopers—meaning "My Friend" in French—has been a steadfast pillar of community care since 2007. As a registered NPO, it offers compassionate, non-judgmental assistance to trauma victims from all backgrounds, helping restore them from victims to victors through practical and emotional aid.

The event highlighted the power of collaboration, with longtime partner Unchain Our Children actively participating. This longstanding alliance has seen the two organisations join forces in numerous joint outreaches, including community support initiatives, year-end functions, and efforts addressing child protection, abuse, and trauma in vulnerable communities. Their shared commitment to community wellbeing shines through these partnerships, amplifying impact in challenging times marked by economic hardship, domestic violence, poverty, and abuse.

Unchain Our Children hosted a table, welcoming representatives from SAPS FCS Pretoria Moot, SAPS Pretoria North, and SAPS Missing Persons Head Office. Speakers emphasised the vital role of active community involvement and synergy among partner organisations working alongside Mon Ami to uplift the vulnerable.

The gathering celebrated this mutual dedication, showcasing how teamwork fosters hope and healing in Tshwane and beyond.
