This festive season, Unchain Our Children (UOC), a Pretoria-based non-profit dedicated to combating child abuse, trafficking, and exploitation, spread holiday cheer through six Christmas celebrations. The organization delivered gifts to 460 children across nine partner facilities, including places of safety, special daycare centers, and hospital wards.
The beneficiaries included:
Danville 170 ♦ Villieria 28 ♦ Heart of stella 80 ♦ Starfish 30 ♦ Happy Sabby 80 ♦ Little Dreams 19 ♦ Little Minions 40 ♦ New Beginnings 28 ♦ Hospital kids 20

The most recent event took place on Saturday, 13 December, at the Little Dreams Daycare Centre in Hornsnek, on the far west side of Pretoria. Established through a collaboration between The Heart of Stella Foundation and KidsCare on behalf of UOC, Little Dreams serves as a nurturing safe haven, offering love and care to children in the surrounding community.

Santa Claus, portrayed by UOC founder Wayne van Onselen and transported courtesy of Shekinah 911 EMS, personally handed gifts to each of the 19 children at Little Dreams. The scene was filled with pure magic: Santa's warm hugs, tiny hands clutching new treasures, and wide-eyed expressions of excitement and joy created lasting memories.
The final celebration is scheduled for Thursday, 18 December, when gifts will be delivered to 20 children at Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria.

In a world where vulnerable children's lives can change unpredictably, UOC and its partners provide a steadfast source of love and support. These young ones know that UOC's presence extends far beyond holidays—it's a year-round commitment to their well-being.
“We are simply the vehicle for many sponsors and donors who make it possible for UOC to continue our life-supporting work among society's most vulnerable—the children," said Wayne van Onselen. "I extend immense gratitude to every individual and company strengthening our hands to make a child's life safer and happier."
