Unchain Our Children’s specialized anti-trafficking Operative, Amy Arnold with 14 years Law Enforcement experience in the USA, led a training session, hosted by FCS Pretoria Moot at Doxa Deo Moot Church, for more than 120 South African Law Enforcement officers, several Forensic Social Workers and some Department of Sosial Development social workers. FCS units from all over Gauteng attended as well as one unit from the Free State.

With Amy’s experience, among other, as a domestic Violence Detective and Trainer for the Police Academy she excelled in sharing her knowledge with the South African officers and forensic social workers for a better understanding of trafficking and what their role is to fight it, open a case and assist victims.

The event created a much needed networking opportunity during a delicious traditional potjiekos lunch.  Ingredients for the potjiekos were sponsored by ZULZI, a leading 15 min fast South African grocery delivery platform in South Africa. Food that was donated to Unchain Our Children was prepared by More Worship and also utilized for the training event.

Col. Ndweni of the Provincial Office FSW/FCS, was present and thanked UOC for the training. The training initiative was also supported by Brig. Zulu of the Provincial Office FCS.

“The sharing of knowledge and experience in our effort to combat child abuse and human trafficking is of utmost importance and solidify working relations between Law Enforcement, Governmental organizations and Unchain in order to serve and protect the vulnerable together”, said Wayne van Onselen, Founder and Executive Director of Unchain Our Children during the event.
